Spring elation and derangement was interrupted twice this weekend for music, beginning with an assemblage from Quebec City: the Violons du Roy with guest conductor Richard Egarr from the Academy of Ancient Music, the Violons’ usual choir, La Chapelle de Québec, and
a fine group of soloists stopped in Montreal on the way to Carnegie Hall.
