Ten quartets participated in the third edition of Constance Pathy and André Roy’s McGill International String Quartet Academy, which closed on Saturday at Pollack Hall. Attending it is a joy and an education in group psychology. The quartets range from freshly hatched to grandfathers of strings, happy foursomes to those who grimly dispatch their stringy duty.
