The venerable Sunday matinee institution of the Ladies’ Morning Musical Club opened its season with violinist James Ehnes in recital at Pollack Hall. It was his fifth appearance for the LMMC, but that’s okay, he’s probably our finest violinist and there is something old-school about him, like the LMMC,
from his determined nailed-to-the-floor stance to his tie clip and parted hair.
